Back here?

How do I always end up back here

An army of one

Battlin’ done

Pleading to unreceptive ears

Thicker heads just buried in the sand

While love’s demise lies close at hand

Consumed in sorrow

With no time to grieve

Or wallow

You don’t get it, now

But I’ll be one tough act to follow

  1. I find the interpretation of poetry difficult, am not always sure if it’s necessary to ‘get it’ and so, for that reason, I tend to give up. However, I find your style of writing so easy to read. Interpretation is still not my strong point but I had to say that.

    1. Thanks Allane. I really appreciate that. I hate writing or even attempting poetry, as I’m shit at it, but when I do I like to rhyme (some) and be easy to fathom. So looks like I won 😁
Another relationship is going to the dogs. Don’t have much luck with women, do I?

      1. See, I CAN interpret sometimes. I’m sorry though. Truly. For what it’s worth (on the writing side) I think you’re an incredible writer and your poetry (attempt?) is pretty fucking good – in my opinion. Okay, so I’m not an expert, but I think there’s an awful lot of shit out there and this ain’t shit, Steve. (could you please sort out that first line, because I’d love to share this, if that’s ok?)
