This pivotal scene, from the second part of my favorite film(s), has become a kind of cinematic metaphor for my life, over the past five months. What it is to ‘be’ human or even individual. To feel dreadful. To feel filled with dread. To be distinct, or feel distinct. Dreadfully distinct.

    1. I think 2049 is the perfect sequel to the original Blade Runner. It continues the story and leaves the conclusion open to some interpretation. But the acting was phenomenal. Ryan Gosling was perfectly cast, in my opinion.
      The baseline test was his idea, apparently. The text comes from Nabokov’s Pale Fire (also featured in the film).
